Full Time Assistant Store Manager (Store 5150) at GameStop. Working with minimal supervision, the Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in all facets of store operations and develops a sales culture by delivering outstanding guest service experiences and shared passion for gaming. The role supervises Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the absence of the Store Manager. Responsibilities

Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests, respond to questions/concerns quickly and courteously, assist with gaming needs, inform guests of promotions, recommend additional items, and thank guests for shopping at GameStop. Support the shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business. Process guest purchases/returns accurately using the POS system, including correct changes, bagging, receipts, and top-notch guest service. Respond to guest comments or questions in person or by phone; escalate issues to the Store Manager when appropriate. Promote GameStop guest benefits (e.g., new title reservations, trade-ins, Pro Rewards). Assist the Store Manager with setting guest service expectations and training store associates in policies, procedures, and guidelines. Observe associate performance and provide timely feedback; address unsatisfactory performance as directed. Provide recognition and feedback to associates; document performance in the HR system in partnership with the Store Manager. Ensure onboarding, training, and compliance training are completed prior to shifts; ensure associates know policies, inventory control, loss prevention, safety, financial protocol, and ethics. Schedule store associates according to guidelines; supervise staffing to maintain optimal guest service levels. Approve payroll, manage PTO, and verify pay for time worked. Maintain store cleanliness, organization, merchandising, and working equipment; fulfill Omni-Channel orders daily. Protect company assets through inventory control and loss prevention; communicate concerns to the Store Manager. Support the team in meeting sales, profit, and shrink goals and complete administrative duties. Perform inventory counts, restock, and ensure products are represented and organized on the sales floor. Count, balance, and reconcile daily transactions; prepare closeout paperwork and bank deposits as required. Verify shipments for discrepancies; conduct inventories and communicate issues to management. Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls; label boxes with proper packing lists. Maintain guest and associate safety; report injuries per guidelines. Maintain store records/files and ensure manuals are up to date. Supervise and delegate tasks to staff in the absence of the Store Manager. Adhere to GameStop policies and procedures, including the Associate Handbook and Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct. Adhere to opening/closing procedures. Qualifications

Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred. At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred. At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred. Video game knowledge preferred. Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and work independently or as part of a team. Meet performance expectations including attendance, safety, and respect in the workplace. Operate POS system and basic math; complete paperwork properly. Flexible schedule, including extended hours, nights, weekends, and some holidays (minimum 3 days/week). Resilient under pressure; creative problem solver. Reliable, trustworthy, with good judgment; ability to work alone and stand/move for extended periods.
