ALL ABOUT GENERAL MERCHANDISE Experts of store process and efficiency who enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is set, in-stock, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise (GM) areas of the store. This team conducts inventory accuracy, merchandise set-up and maintenance and pricing processes for all areas of the store. Experts enable efficient delivery to our guests by supporting pick, pack and ship fulfillment work. Role can provide opportunities to gain knowledge of guest service fundamentals, retail business fundamentals, and daily/weekly workload management to support business priorities and sales goals. Responsibilities
Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests and assisting with daily tasks. Engage with guests to help solve their needs; thank guests for choosing to shop at Target. Execute daily tasks to support business priorities, including receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, arranging merchandise, and putting up promotional signs for GM areas. If certified, operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures. Execute processes such as price changes, merchandise set-up and maintenance, and inventory accuracy as directed by leadership. Learn how operational procedures affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability. Be knowledgeable about store resources, products, and services to solve issues and improve guest experience. Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and comply with safety policies and training. Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes, while complying with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.
