Tax - Business Tax Services - Corporate Tax Manager
Location: Anywhere in Country
Base pay range: $106,500.00/yr – $195,100.00/yr

EY Private Tax is a growing practice focused on privately held companies from family‑owned businesses to private equity‑owned companies. Working with high‑growth private companies, you’ll tackle technically demanding tax planning and compliance projects and progress to senior manager.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing and reviewing federal and state tax returns for U.S. corporations and partnerships, including foreign reporting requirements for cross‑border compliance.
Providing tax research, drafting memoranda, and quantitative modeling for private client tax advisory services.
Identifying and communicating significant tax matters to Senior Managers, Managing Directors, and Partners.
Liaising and developing relationships with other service lines and subject‑matter professionals.
Building effective long‑term client relationships and tailoring services to unique needs.
Communicating complex tax issues to non‑tax professionals and clients.
Maintaining technical knowledge and best practices through continuous learning.
Managing, coaching, and developing a team of tax professionals.
Identifying and mitigating risks while improving services and processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field with tax, business, or financial planning experience.
CPA certification or admission to a State Bar.
Prior experience with ASC 740 tax provisions.
Minimum 5 years of professional services or professional tax organization experience.
Excellent collaboration, negotiation, and communication skills.
Proficiency with tax software such as RIA, CCH IntelliConnect, OneSource, BNA, or LexisNexis.
Willingness to travel as needed and work in a balanced hybrid environment.
Experience managing, coaching, and mentoring junior colleagues.
