Join to apply for the Job Coach (NCS) role at the Mayor's Office of Employment Development (MOED), City of Baltimore. MOED coordinates workforce development initiatives to serve Baltimore City employees and job seekers and aims to deliver economic opportunity and social impact. Responsibilities

Provide group and individual sessions to support YouthWorks Private Sector participants’ job preparedness and post-placement outcomes. Serve as liaison between the YouthWorks office and employer worksites; screen youth applicants and conduct interviews for employers. Update databases and manage program data across internal reports, OneDrive, and the YouthWorks system. Assist with resume preparation, interview coaching, and career counseling; conduct site visits to worksites to support positive work experiences. Maintain employer relations, anticipate participant needs, assess satisfaction, and provide on-the-job support services. Verify youth information, match candidates to positions, and monitor attendance and timesheets. Coordinate and deliver YouthWorks Private Sector job readiness and YouthWorks Academy workshops; assist with workshops and trainings. Travel to worksites as needed to observe work habits, address barriers, and encourage productivity and advancement. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with coursework in counseling, social work, education, vocational rehabilitation, job development, or related human service field. Background: Ability to pass a mandatory criminal background check. Driver requirements: Valid Maryland Class C noncommercial driver’s license or equivalent; daily access to a personal automobile; willingness to use personal vehicle for duties. Work schedule: In-person, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, Monday–Friday; flexibility for some evenings and weekends. Licenses and Certifications

Possess a valid driver’s license and be eligible to obtain a Baltimore City driver’s permit. Provisional licenses or learner permits are not acceptable. Upload a copy of a valid driver’s license with application. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Proficiency with virtual meeting platforms (WebEx, Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams). Ability to perform data entry and use agency, city, and state software programs. Two years of related vocational or job rehabilitation experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional Information

Background checks: Eligible candidates may be required to authorize a criminal background check and/or fingerprinting for positions of trust. Probation: Mandatory six-month probation for new hires.
