Responsibilities

Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests, answer questions, assist with gaming needs, inform guests of promotions, recommend items, and ensure a high level of guest service throughout each transaction. Support the store environment and operations, including visual merchandising, current sales initiatives, and guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business. Process guest purchases and returns accurately using the POS system; handle transactions with correct changes, receipts, and packaging. Respond to guest comments or questions in person or on the phone; escalate issues to the Store Manager as needed. Promote GameStop guest benefits (e.g., new title reservations, trade-in program, Pro Rewards). Assist the Store Manager with setting guest service expectations and training store associates on company policies and procedures. Monitor associate performance and provide feedback; assist with onboarding and training to ensure compliance and knowledge of store policies, inventory, loss prevention, safety, and ethical responsibilities. Schedule store associates in partnership with the Store Manager and manage breaks/meals; supervise staffing to maintain guest service levels. Approve payroll, manage paid time off, and verify compensation for time worked. Ensure store areas are clean, organized, and merchandised per guidelines; maintain fixtures and equipment in good working order. Fulfill Omni-Channel orders and ensure daily shipment. Protect assets with inventory control and loss prevention practices; communicate concerns to the Store Manager. Support sales, profit, and shrink goals and perform required administrative duties. Conduct inventory counts, stock/restock, and ensure products are represented and organized on the sales floor. Balance daily transactions, close out paperwork, and manage cash to ensure accurate bank deposits. Verify shipments, record discrepancies, and conduct inventories; communicate issues to Store Manager/District Manager. Manage defectives/recalls, stock pulls, and labeling with packing lists. Maintain safety awareness; report injuries per guidelines. Maintain store records/files and ensure manuals are up to date. Supervise and delegate tasks in the absence of the Store Manager. Adhere to GameStop policies and procedures and follow opening/closing procedures. Qualifications

Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred. At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred. At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred. Video game knowledge preferred. Clear verbal and written communication; English required; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet objectives. Work independently and as part of a team; perform tasks promptly. Meet performance expectations, including attendance, safety, and respectful workplace. Operate POS system; basic math and alphabetizing skills. Complete required paperwork accurately; follow instructions; execute financial tasks per policy. Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and some holidays; minimum 3 days/week availability. Resilience under pressure and problem-solving skills; reliable and trustworthy. Able to stand and move for extended periods; lift up to 30 lbs; perform physical tasks as needed. Able to work on military-base locations with appropriate onboarding (if applicable). Benefits
