Full Time Assistant Store Manager (Store 0174) at GameStop. Working with minimal supervision, the Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in all facets of store operations and helps develop a sales culture by providing outstanding guest service and knowledge of products. Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests, address questions and concerns promptly and courteously, inform guests of promotions, recommend items as appropriate, and circulate throughout the store to prioritize guest experience. Support the store environment, including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and guest relationships that drive sales and repeat business. Process guest purchases and returns accurately using the POS system; ensure correct changes, receipts, and high-quality guest service. Respond to guest comments or questions in person or by phone; escalate issues to the Store Manager when appropriate. Promote GameStop guest benefits, such as reservations programs, trade-ins, and Pro Rewards loyalty. Assist the Store Manager with setting guest service expectations and training store associates in company policies and procedures. Observe associate performance, provide feedback, and address performance concerns as directed to ensure alignment with guest service standards. Provide recognition and feedback to store associates; document performance notes in the HR system in partnership with the Store Manager. Ensure onboarding and training are completed prior to shifts for all associates; ensure knowledge of company policies, inventory control, loss prevention, safety, and ethical responsibilities. Assist in scheduling to meet guest service needs and maintain appropriate staffing levels; supervise staffing to ensure top service levels. Approve payroll and related timekeeping activities; verify pay for all time worked. Maintain a clean, organized store that adheres to company merchandising guidelines; ensure fixtures and equipment are in good working order. Ensure Omni-Channel orders are fulfilled and shipped daily. Protect company assets through effective inventory control and loss prevention; communicate any concerns to the Store Manager. Support the team in meeting sales, profit, and shrink goals and perform required administrative duties. Conduct inventory counts, stock replenishment, and ensure products are properly displayed and organized. Balance and reconcile daily transactions; manage closeout paperwork and daily banking per guidelines. Verify shipments for discrepancies; conduct inventories and report issues to management. Process defectives/recall items and ensure proper labeling and packing lists. Maintain safety awareness; report injuries promptly per guidelines. Maintain store records and assist with keeping manuals up to date. Supervise and delegate tasks in the absence of the Store Manager. Adhere to all company policies, including the Associate Handbook and Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct; follow opening and closing procedures. Qualifications

Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred. At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred. At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred. Video game knowledge preferred. Key Job Skills and Abilities

Outgoing, welcoming personality with strong people skills. Provide genuine and individualized guest assistance during every visit. Clear verbal and written communication and listening skills; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and work independently or as part of a team. Meet performance expectations, including attendance, appearance, safety, and respectful workplace. Operate the POS system and handle basic mathematics and organization tasks. Complete required paperwork accurately and follow written, oral, or diagram-based instructions. Flexibility to work a schedule that includes extended hours, nights, weekends, and some holidays; minimum availability of 3 days per week. Ability to manage pressure calmly and solve problems while maintaining guest interactions. Reliability and good judgment; able to work alone and move around the store as needed. Physical ability to perform duties; lift up to 30 lbs and operate in various postures as required. Compensation:
