Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Minimum 3-5 years of experience as automotive service advising or management
Proven leadership and customer service skills
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
Working knowledge of DMS systems (CDK, Reynolds, Dealertrack, etc.)
Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities
Customer Experience
Greet and assist customers entering the service drive with professionalism and enthusiasm.
Ensure all service advisors follow proper write-up procedures, including multi-point inspections, maintenance recommendations, and repair authorizations.
Maintain high CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) scores through proactive follow-up, communication, and problem resolution.
Oversee vehicle delivery and ensure work is completed accurately and on time.
Operational Leadership
Manage and monitor daily service drive traffic, staffing schedules, and customer flow.
Coach and train service advisors on effective communication, upselling techniques, and menu selling.
Ensure all vehicles are promptly dispatched, repaired, and returned to customers efficiently.
Enforce safety, cleanliness, and organizational standards across the drive and shop.
Review and approve repair orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with warranty and policy requirements.
Sales and Performance
Drive service department revenue by monitoring advisor performance, repair order averages, and closing ratios.
Assist in developing monthly sales goals and incentive plans for service advisors.
Identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and profitability.
Team Development
Conduct regular team meetings and one-on-one coaching sessions.
Provide ongoing training on customer handling, product knowledge, and dealership procedures.
Foster a positive team culture built on accountability, communication, and customer focus.
Administrative
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as ELR (Effective Labor Rate), hours per RO, and technician productivity.
Assist with hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews for service advisors and valet staff.
Ensure compliance with manufacturer programs, warranty processes, and dealership policies.
