Experts of store process and efficiency who enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is set, in-stock, accurately priced, and signed on the sales floor. The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise areas of the store. This team conducts inventory accuracy, merchandise set-up and maintenance, and pricing processes for all areas of the store. They enable efficient delivery to guests by supporting pick, pack and ship fulfillment work. The role of a General Merchandise Expert can provide you with the following advantages: Knowledge of guest service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest-first culture across the store Experience in retail business fundamentals including department sales trends, inventory replenishment, and process efficiency and improvement Experience executing daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals Responsibilities
Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks and assist guests with their needs Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs and thank them for shopping at Target Perform daily tasks assigned by leadership to support goals aligned with business priorities, including receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, arranging merchandise, and putting up promotional signs for GM areas Operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures if certified Execute processes including price changes, merchandise setup and maintenance, and inventory accuracy as directed Learn how operational procedures affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability Be knowledgeable about store resources, products, and services to resolve guest issues and improve their experience Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes (picking/packing orders, delivering pickup orders) while complying with applicable laws Other duties as needed by business requirements What We Are Looking For

Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members Ability to use handheld scanners and technology devices as directed Ability to work independently and in a team Ability to resolve guest questions quickly Attention to detail and the ability to follow multi-step processes Ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment and complete multiple tasks within deadlines Physical and Scheduling Requirements
