Dinsmore is seeking a Practice Support Specialist at our Miami, FL location who will support multiple attorneys in connection with general corporate work, litigation and bankruptcy matters.
Responsibilities
Help to manage individual attorney calendars (scheduling meetings, conference calls, and travel arrangements); learn departmental docketing system as necessary.
Open and maintain client files.
Provide clerical support to attorneys and paralegals.
Be trained to coordinate the monthly client billing process.
Provide backup overflow assistance to legal administrative assistants as needed.
Requirements
Candidates should have strong verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills, be highly organized, and possess a desire to work as a member of a team.
Excellent writing, grammar, proofreading skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent word processing skills and intermediate-level use of Microsoft Office Suite, pdf editing software, and related legal software including electronic document management systems iManage/FileSite, PowerPoint, and Outlook a plus.
Experience using attorney timekeeping and document management systems a plus.
Familiarity with basic online resources.
Possess strong organizational and time management skills, and ability to multi-task.
Proven success as a positive team player, as well as an independent worker.
Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
