Position Overview CUMULUS MEDIA is looking for a Local Sales Manager with a proven track record of winning, successfully supporting their teams, and creating a positive environment where everyone can succeed. Our Sales Managers are exceptional problem solvers, true collaborators, creative, efficient, and lead their teams to exceed local sales revenue goals utilizing our on-air, digital, and experiential assets.
Developing new business is key to our success. Sales leaders cultivate plans to assist the sales teams to strategically prospect, develop, and maintain opportunities both locally and within our home markets.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a strategic sales plan that exceeds market revenue goals through integrated solution campaigns across Radio, Audio, Digital, Live Events, Sweet Deals, and NTR.
Serve as a visible and available leader to team and community.
Recruit, train, coach, manage, and develop high-performance sales talent, building a team for continued top-line growth.
Maintain ongoing recruitment to ensure a bench of at least 3 top-quality candidates.
Attend high-profile account presentations; provide coaching and leadership.
Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings to evaluate pending business and record in CRM.
Maximize and monitor CRM to provide the team with a blueprint for success.
Lead sales staff meetings and training sessions.
Manage inventory and reporting in Stratus/Wide Orbit.
Handle forecasting revenue, rate, pricing, and order approvals.
Participate in business & community associations to develop relationships with local influencers and decision makers.
Build client relationships through quality service and communication with other departments.
Oversee special event sales and local/national rate negotiations and budgeting.
Develop creative, customer‑focused revenue programs and ancillary sales projects.
Manage expenses of the sales organization.
Generate revenue from personal account list.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in broadcast or digital sales, including sales management and mentoring with a success record in radio or digital industry.
Proficiency in all aspects of radio and digital sales, using quantitative research, event development, and multi‑platform integration.
Experience with CRM systems, budgeting, daily sales accountability, recognition programs, inventory management, and collections procedures.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or related field preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and social networking platforms.
Strong training and coaching skills, ability to organize, delegate, interview, and motivate sales teams.
Excellent presentation, negotiation, and client‑relations skills.
Highly energetic, achievement‑oriented, flexible, creative, and digitally savvy.
