Position Overview
Assistant Professor, College of Nursing—Medical Surgical (Tenure‑Ineligible, 10‑month appointment). Distribution of effort: 50‑70% teaching/advising, 0‑40% clinical practice/instruction, 0‑10% research, 5‑10% service/professional development. Salary: $75,000–$90,000. Start date: January 1, 2026. Location: Lexington, KY. Responsibilities
Teach and advise undergraduate BSN students in medical‑surgical courses. Design and deliver classroom and online instruction. Supervise students in clinical settings. Participate in college committees, scholarship, and professional development. Collaborate with faculty and staff in nursing education. Qualifications
Doctoral degree required; nursing doctoral preferred. Minimum 2 years professional nursing experience within the last 5 years. Experience in medical‑surgical nursing and teaching of baccalaureate students. Active, unencumbered Kentucky RN license required. Preferred Qualifications
Preferred experience with advising and successful teaching of adult students. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Scholarship and collaboration experience. Compensation & Benefits
