Analyst — Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) / Staff Services Analyst (SSA) Salary: $6,031.00 - $7,547.00 per month. The California Department of Social Services (CDSS) Nutrition Programs Branch, CalFresh Employment & Training (E&T) Section is recruiting for one AGPA/SSA. The E&T AGPA/SSA is responsible for a variety of complex activities; the analyst will work independently most of the time, may serve in a lead capacity, and will maintain effective and ongoing communication with management. The E&T AGPA/SSA will act as a liaison between County Welfare Departments (CWDs), United States Department of Agriculture Food and Nutrition Services (FNS), State Contracts, and other stakeholders. The following duties are specific to the CalFresh E&T AGPA/SSA, but are not limited to: CalFresh E&T policy development, implementation, and interpretation. Lead/assist with legislative bill analysis. Lead and facilitate meetings & presentations with program staff, CWDs, FNS, State Contracts, and stakeholders. Lead/assist with special projects. Lead/assist with the testing and creation of an Annual Plan Database. Lead/assist with continuous State budget changes. Research and analyze regulations. — This work location is accessible by public transportation; the CDSS is near the State Capitol with easy access to I-5, Highway 50, and Highway 80. The position is eligible for hybrid work under the Governor’s Executive Order N-22-25, subject to department discretion and CDSS policies.
