The Controller will oversee all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls for the firm and its affiliated investment entities. This individual will manage daily accounting operations, coordinate audits, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide timely financial insights to leadership. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and thrives in a professional environment that values precision, transparency, and strategic thinking. Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and journal entries. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting processes. Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and custodians. Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting policies. Oversee payroll, expense management, and vendor relationships. Support partners and senior leadership with financial analysis and strategic planning. Supervise junior accounting staff or external bookkeeping support as needed. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred). 7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience. Prior experience in real estate, family office, or public accounting environments strongly preferred. Solid understanding of GAAP, consolidations, and partnership accounting. Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct) and advanced Excel skills. Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
