Employment Type: Part-time (14 hours a week) Duration: Fixed term contract to 30 June 2026 (with possibility of renewal) Remuneration: Competitive remuneration based on Academic Level B or Academic Level C, plus 17% superannuation and leave loading Work rights: Visa sponsorship not available. Candidates must have full rights to work in Australia. Responsibilities

Develop and maintain the Independent Learning Project (ILP) program at the campus, aligning with undergraduate medical education goals. Coordinate, support and mentor students study ILP including supervision, teaching, reviews, theses, presentations, coursework and final reports. Provide support in local hospital and clinical environments for ILP and rural research projects, including design, governance, research skills development, and ethics approvals. Engage with local health and community networks (PHN, AMS) to build productive partnerships and identify funding opportunities where appropriate. Contribute to the RHMT Rural Research Plan, rural research framework, and related methodologies, data collection and analysis. Teach and mentor undergraduate students with a focus on rurally focused health and research projects. Qualifications and Experience

A Fellow of a Specialist Medical College and/or a postgraduate degree in a relevant field, with experience in medical/health environments; or equivalent professional experience. Experience in teaching, mentoring and supervising undergraduate students; demonstrated interest in rural health projects and research. Senior Lecturer level: provide high-level coordination and administration within the program, advise students and staff on course matters, support ethical applications and publication planning.
