Overview
Strategic Account Manager - High Service Electrical Distribution at nVent. The role focuses on developing and strengthening relationships with Strategic Distribution Partners, driving profitable growth across nVent brands, and delivering a superior ease of doing business experience. Responsibilities
Develop and strengthen relationships at assigned Strategic Distribution Partners to capitalize on sales synergies, leverage nVent scale, and drive growth across all nVent brands. Translate partner trends and opportunities into value for nVent. Build and implement growth-oriented business plans with Strategic Distribution Partners by gaining agreement, establishing performance measures, and using action plans and KPIs to drive performance. Collaborate to ensure quality and responsiveness for all support provided, continually seeking improvements to deliver a superior customer experience. Work with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, operations and finance) to drive sales activity and achieve annual financial objectives. Monitor distributor orders, shipments, and POS relative to the annual operating plan (AOP) and initiate corrective actions as necessary. Collaborate effectively with local sales teams to execute specific sales strategies and activities. Note: Although posted to multiple locations, the organization plans to hire one person for this role. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience accepted. Ideally 7+ years in strategic account management or distribution management in electrical/electronics, with a focus on online/ecommerce/e-Catalog accounts. Ideally 3+ years distributor sales experience in electrical/electronic/commercial/MRO/industrial markets, with experience maintaining relationships and handling senior-level conflict. Willingness to work 100% remotely and travel 25-50% of the time to visit customers, attend events, and support regional initiatives. A valid driver’s license is required. Proficient written and verbal English communication skills. Ability to form relationships and leverage partnerships to drive the strategic plan; alignment to organizational strategy; opportunity advancement. Strong negotiation skills; ability to collaborate to reach conclusions through compromise, persuasion, influence, rationale, and tact. nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of total target cash for this job and the employee’s work location. Total target cash includes base salary and sales incentive target opportunity when annual sales goals are achieved. Geographic Region A: $137,200.00 - $254,800.00 +; Geographic Region B: $140,100.00 - $260,300.00 +; Geographic Region C: $152,900.00 - $283,900.00 +. Other compensation such as annual incentives may apply depending on the position offered and performance. Benefits
