Strategic Account Manager - High Service Electrical Distribution Join nVent as a Strategic Account Manager for our High Service Electrical Distribution business. In this role you will build and strengthen relationships with key distribution partners, develop growth‑oriented business plans, and drive profitable expansion across nVent’s brands.

Responsibilities

Develop and strengthen relationships with assigned Strategic Distribution Partners to capitalize on sales harmonies, leverage nVent scale, and drive profitable growth across all nVent brands.

Build and implement growth‑oriented business plans with partners by gaining agreement, establishing measures of performance, and leveraging action plans and KPIs.

Work collaboratively to ensure quality and responsiveness for all support provided, continually striving to improve the “ease of doing business” experience.

Partner with cross‑functional teams (sales, marketing, operations, finance) to drive sales activity and achieve annual financial objectives.

Monitor distributor orders, shipments, and POS relative to AOP and initiate corrective actions as necessary.

Collaborate effectively with local sales teams to execute specific sales strategies and activities.

Maintain a single focus for the role across multiple posted locations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience accepted.

Ideally, 7+ years in strategic account management or distribution management within the electrical or electronics space, focusing on online/e‑commerce/e‑catalog accounts.

Ideally, 3+ years of distributor sales experience in electrical, electronic, or industrial markets, maintaining relationships and resolving conflict at a senior level.

Willingness to work 100% remotely and travel 25‑50% of the time to visit customers, attend events, and support regional initiatives; a valid diverse license is required.

Proficient written and verbal English skills for all roles.

Ability to form relationships and leverage partnerships to drive the strategic plan, consistently aligning with organizational strategy.

Strong negotiation skills, collaborating with others to reach agreements using compromise, persuasion, influence, rationale, and tact.

Capacity to handle distributor conflict while maintaining composure and integrity.

Collaborative mindset to support the sales team in deploying the business strategy.

Pay Transparency nVent’s total target cash pay includes base salary and sales incentive target opportunity when annual sales goals are achieved. Pay is based on a combination of factors including experience, education, and performance. Geographic Regions A, B, and C ranges are provided below. Additional compensation may be available.

Region A: $137,200.00 – $254,800.00

Region B: $140,100.00 – $260,300.00

Region C: $152,900.00 – $283,900.00
