Overview
Under the general direction of the Supervising Right of Way Agent, the Senior Railroad Coordinator (Specialist) is responsible for preparing, approving and directing the District's Right of Way Railroad activities. The Senior Railroad Coordinator may review and approve the work of Railroad Coordinators and Associate Railroad Coordinators. The Senior Railroad Coordinator consults with and advises District managers and may act as their direct representative in major program areas at either private or public meetings. As travel may be required in this position, a valid Driver’s License is highly desirable. Responsibilities

Possession of a valid driver’s license is required when operating a State owned or leased vehicle. Candidates must submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) for the hiring manager for the final filing date; the SOQ should be no longer than two pages, single-spaced, in 12-point font. Respond separately to prompts in numerical order. Applicants who do not include the SOQ with the application will not be considered for this position. Provide examples of experience as a Right of Way Agent or Senior Right of Way in relation to railroad coordination or acquisition activities, including years of experience at various levels (Right of Way Agent, Associate Right of Way Agent, Senior Right of Way Agent, etc.). Provide examples of communication, organizational, technical, leadership, analytical, and partnering skills in professional right of way work with Caltrans, public agencies, and private companies, including years of experience using these skills at various levels. Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment. If basing eligibility on education, include unofficial transcripts or diploma.
