Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse (Travel Assignment)
Location: San Francisco, CA 94109
Healthcare Setting: Adult & Geriatric ICU, 36‑bed unit
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: November 17, 2025
End Date: February 16, 2026
Shift: 3 x 12‑hour night shifts per week (19:00 – 07:30)
Hours per Week: 36
Weekend Rotation: Required (minimum every other weekend)
Floating: May float to other hospital units as needed
Orientation: 16 hours plus modules
Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2120–$2280
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience required; 3+ years preferred
Active California RN License (required for submission)
BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications required
Experience with Epic EMR charting system preferred
Trauma Level I ICU experience required
Ability to float to TICU, Med/Tele, and MS units as needed
Available for lab work within 3–5 days of signing
All certifications must be current at time of submission
Previous charge nurse experience preferred
Weekend availability required
Responsibilities
Provide high‑quality nursing care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients
Monitor and manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure
Perform advanced ICU procedures: arterial line management, chest tube insertion/removal, ventilator management, central line care
Administer blood products and titrate cardiac/vasoactive drips
Interpret arterial blood gases and cardiac dysrhythmias
Implement infection prevention and isolation protocols
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
Float to other hospital units as needed based on census
