Electrical Module Release Engineer role at Bartech Staffing.
Base pay range $36.00/hr – $48.00/hr
Job Responsibilities
Create and maintain Interface Control Design (ICD) strategy and ICD templates
Develop & maintain commodity specific documentation
Generate and maintain global subsystem/component technical specifications templates (SSTS/CTS)
Lead resolution of technical issues
Close the loop on learnings by updating required information (best practices, GM specifications, statement of requirements, template, etc.) and document progress in problem resolution tracking system
Work cross‑functionally within GM, coordinating multiple suppliers
Support sourcing activities
Generate technical solutions for current, new and major programs
Perform complex design analysis
Initiate documents to provide engineering authority and maintain math/CAD data
Collaborate with engineering functions, suppliers, plant personnel and others to implement cost reduction, methods and product improvements, and support build programs

Job Requirements
BS in Engineering, Physics, Math, or Computer Science
2+ years of related experience
Knowledge of microcontroller architectures, memory technologies, and programming
Understanding of hardware design and failure modes in electronic modules
Knowledge of vehicle serial data communications
Proficiency in writing and comprehending software/hardware requirements
Knowledge of software verification/validation processes
Knowledge of testing and associated tools
Ability to translate text‑based functional requirements into software algorithms and models
High level of analytical ability for unusual and difficult problems
Preferred Qualifications
DFMEA training
Knowledge of software algorithm design and software architecture
Electronic validation experience
Vehicle communication tool experience
Wiring experience
Design/Development of safety critical systems/components
