Electrical Module Design Release Engineer
is responsible for defining requirements, executing design, conducting analysis, and managing engineering projects for Electrical Module Components. Responsibilities
Create and maintain Interface Control Design (ICD) strategy and ICD templates Develop & Maintain commodity specific documentation Generate and Maintain Global subsystem/component technical specifications templates Lead resolution of technical issues Close the Loop on learnings by updating required information and document progress in Problem Resolution Tracking System Work cross-functionally within the organization, coordinating multiple suppliers Lead/manage supplier resident engineers Support sourcing activities Generate technical solutions for current, new and major programs Perform complex design analysis Initiate documents to provide engineering authority and to maintain math/CAD data Work with engineering functions, suppliers, plant personnel and others to implement cost reduction, methods and product improvements, and to support build programs Validation of your module Qualifications
BS in Engineering, Physics, Math, or Computer Science 2+ years of related experience Requirements
Knowledge of microcontroller architectures, memory technologies, and programming Understanding of hardware design and failure modes in electronic modules Knowledge of vehicle serial data communications Demonstrated proficiency in writing and comprehending software/hardware requirements Knowledge of software verification/validation processes Knowledge of testing and associated tools Capability to translate text based functional requirements into software algorithms and models High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult Preferred Requirements
DFMEA training Knowledge of software algorithm design and software architecture Engineering Change Management Experience Electronic Validation Experience DFSS Black Belt Certification Vehicle Communication Tool Experience Wiring experience Design/Development of Safety Critical Systems/Components Shift
Monday-Friday 8am-4pm or 5pm; hybrid position with required in-office days on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and remote work possible on Mondays and Fridays.
