Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist
– Mortenson
Mortenson is currently seeking a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist who will serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, supporting business objectives and building business relationships.
Responsibilities
Act as Customer Relationship Manager for assigned business groups
Develop and update staffing priorities
Design and implement sourcing initiatives to attract and engage top‑tier talent aligned with organizational goals.
Conduct weekly customer relationship meetings and update staffing reports
Source and staff open positions, recruit diverse candidates
Work with hiring managers on recruitment and selection plans
Negotiate and manage external recruiting resources
Conduct reference checks and establish employment offers
Develop talent sourcing approaches (direct recruiting, job fairs, internet recruiting)
Refer team members to appropriate headquarters services (benefits, issue resolution, drug and alcohol‑free program)
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field
Minimum seven years recruiting/HR experience or a combination of higher education and experience
Demonstrated willingness to learn the business and develop deep understanding of roles to identify and attract top‑tier talent
Ability to recommend hiring decisions to upper management
Proficiency in PC and widely used software packages (Excel, MS Word, HRIS/database)
Active listening skills and effective communication, openness to diverse input and feedback
Ability to travel up to 25%

Pay & Location The base pay range for this role is $94,500 - $141,800. Actual range is higher for Denver, CO; Chicago, IL; Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; and Washington, D.C. The position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
