is seeking a talented and experienced

ABB Robotic Programmer

to join our growing automation team in Wisconsin. MWES designs, builds, and integrates

custom automation systems

that help manufacturers across industries achieve higher efficiency, precision, and performance.

About the Role As an ABB Robotic Programmer, you will take the lead in developing, programming, and commissioning robotic systems for complex automation projects. You’ll work closely with our mechanical, electrical, and controls engineering teams to deliver turnkey robotic solutions that meet demanding customer requirements for quality, reliability, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and optimize

ABB robot programs

using

ABB RobotStudio

and

RAPID

programming.

Integrate robotic systems with

PLCs and automation controls , ensuring seamless communication between devices.

Support system design, simulation, testing, and debugging throughout project development.

Travel to customer sites (approximately

30% annually ) for installation, commissioning, and support.

Troubleshoot and resolve robotic and system integration issues both in-house and at customer facilities.

Perform initial setup and system configuration for ABB Robotic systems and third‑party software.

Document programs, system configurations, and project deliverables to meet company and customer standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree

in Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).

Minimum of 5 years

of hands‑on experience programming ABB robots in industrial automation environments.

Proficiency in

ABB RobotStudio

and

RAPID

programming is required.

Experience with PLC programming (Allen‑Bradley or similar) required.

Robotic Welding and Robot Vision experience a plus.

Strong understanding of industrial automation, motion control, and safety systems.

Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Must be able to travel up to

30% annually

for project assignments.

Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
