Health Center Director – SMI & Integrated Care
Place: Desert Cove, Phoenix, AZ (Near I-17 / Peoria). Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8–5. Full-time, on-site.
Salary: $86K–$93K per year + Sign‑on Bonus + Full Benefits.
Lead a multidisciplinary team rooted in Hope, Health & Healing at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Behavioral Health, Healthcare Administration or Public Health.
3+ years of supervisory experience.
5+ years of integrated care or FQHC experience.
RBHA experience.
Licensed Clinician preferred; salary increases based on licensure and experience.
Language differential pay available for Spanish, Vietnamese, Korean, Arabic, Farsi, Swahili or ASL.
Responsibilities
Serve as the administrative supervisor of the FQHC, overseeing operational activities and ensuring compliance with policies, local/federal laws, licensure, contract requirements, and CARF accreditation standards.
Provide oversight, supervision, training and mentoring to direct and indirect reports.
Promote a patient‑focused, compassionate, high‑quality care environment.
Supervise Clinical Site Managers and other site staff.
Act as a subject‑matter expert in areas such as criminal‑justice involvement, substance use disorders, suicide risk assessment, integrated health care models, and evidence‑based practices.
Oversee all structure and program operations for behavioral health, substance use treatment, primary care, practice management, and ancillary services.
Conduct staff meetings, coordinate staffing for difficult cases, and ensure clinical oversight per Arizona licensure regulations.
Administer staff professional development through continuing education and leadership development activities.
Ensure staff meet minimum production requirements, documentation and billable service hours.
Coordinate care with internal and external provider agencies and state entities.
Serve as liaison among internal departments (informatics, service excellence, revenue cycle, HR, clinical programs).
Collaborate with clinical and medical leadership to improve clinical service quality, including training facilitation.
Use clinical and financial data to initiate performance improvement activities for clinicians and teams.
