Vice President of Sales-Retail Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven

Vice President of Sales

to lead retail growth across the U.S. market. This executive will oversee national and regional retail strategies, manage broker partnerships, and drive sustainable revenue growth across multiple retail channels. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG), a strong network within retail, and a proven ability to accelerate market share through innovative sales execution. Key Responsibilities

Lead National Retail Sales Strategy:

Develop and execute strategic plans that deliver against revenue, profit, and distribution goals across grocery, mass, club, and convenience channels. Broker Leadership:

Recruit, manage, and motivate regional broker partners, ensuring alignment with company priorities and flawless retail execution. Customer Development:

Build and strengthen relationships with key national and regional retail accounts, securing incremental distribution, promotional opportunities, and joint business plans. P&L Accountability:

Own forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking to deliver profitable growth and ensure consistent achievement of financial objectives. Trade and Promotional Management:

Design and implement trade promotion strategies, analyze ROI, and optimize spend to maximize impact across key customers and markets. Market Intelligence:

Identify emerging trends, category opportunities, and competitive activity to inform pricing, product mix, and innovation strategies. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and R&D to ensure alignment on product launches, demand planning, and customer programs. Talent and Performance Leadership:

Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales organization that embodies agility, accountability, and collaboration. Continuous Improvement:

Evaluate and enhance sales processes, tools, and systems to improve efficiency and executional excellence. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred. 10 years of progressive sales leadership experience

within the CPG or retail industry, with proven success managing brokers and major retail accounts. Strong understanding of national and regional retail landscapes, trade strategy, and category management. Exceptional analytical, communication, and negotiation skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office; advanced Excel and data reporting skills preferred. Highly strategic, entrepreneurial, and comfortable leading in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments. Collaborative and solution-focused leadership style with a passion for driving results and developing people.
