Pharmacy Technician Specialist – Pharmaceutical Research Center
Join UW Health as a Pharmacy Technician Specialist in our Pharmaceutical Research Center, a dedicated section of the Pharmacy Department that manages study medications for Clinical Research Trials.
Work Schedule : 100% FTE, day shift. Monday – Friday; 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, however hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.
Responsibilities :
Manage inventory for over 250 clinical trials; oversee shipment receipt/verification of investigational drugs, study drug ordering, and expiration monitoring.
Prepare research medications for inpatients and outpatients, ensuring protocol, drug, and subject accuracy.
Apply strong attention to detail and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications :
High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program (preferred).
6 months experience as a pharmacy technician, completion of accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program, or completion of second year of pharmacy school (required).
Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician Registration upon hire (required).
Certified Pharmacy Technician (preferred).
