Southeast Regional Business Development Director

HDR . This role focuses on driving net fee bookings and market share growth across the Southeast Region’s Water Business Group.
Primary Role & Responsibilities
Coordinate with the Director of Business Development to identify, monitor, and support attainment of the Regional net fee booked plan using the Path to Goal concept.
Lead strategic client development initiatives and assistance with client engagement strategy.
Own major campaign coordination for opportunities ranging from $5M to $20M, identifying, developing, and qualifying potential regional major campaign opportunities.
Engage Market Sector/Area Client Development staff in execution of key market sector initiatives from strategic planning and annual alignment meetings.
Align internal resources to client needs and achieve "Path to Goal."
Track and communicate progress toward period and annual net fee book bookings goals; adjust projections to meet objectives.
Assist in annual strategic planning efforts and monitoring operational metrics for the region.
Support strategic hiring, recruitment, and staffing prioritization.
Secondary Responsibilities
Monitor and communicate NFB and Marketing Cost tracking.
Assist with other initiatives such as strategic planning and controlling.
Preferred Qualifications
Local candidates preferred.
Experience in developing and supporting implementation of growth strategies.
Proven skillset to develop and manage marketing and business development teams across five separate regional areas.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 15 years relevant industry experience.
Self‑starter history of completing projects with limited oversight.
Deep knowledge of the A/E/C industry’s procurement approach.
Ability to motivate, inspire, and build a network of clients and partners.
Experience in sales with effective win strategies.
Strong financial acumen and negotiation skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Willingness and ability to travel and engage in person.
Experience growing programs in new or competitive markets.
Experience winning high‑value A/E/C contracts.
Experience writing compelling content from technical staff.
