Brief Summary of Job Duties

Serves as the Environment and Energy Transitions (ENVENT) Lab Manager, providing general assistance to the Principal Investigators (PIs) including general administrative assistance, budget management, assisting in the preparation of grant proposals and grant reports, and maintaining and updating the lab website. Laboratory duties include the management of data collection and analysis, the development and management of web-based questionnaires, and background research in support of policy report and public-facing writing. Responsible for the setup, operation and maintenance of all equipment and services used in research. Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience 1-3 years Administrative Experience Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple time sensitive activities with calmness, deliberation and resilience. Strong administrative, organizational, and procedural practices including self-organization, time management, financial management and attention to detail. Ability to exercise independent leadership, prioritize multiple tasks, and work collaboratively with a variety of university and external groups. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, including writing and preparing memorandums, letters, and other official correspondence. Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues in order to achieve goals. Ability to handle complex and confidential information with discretion. Ability to work effectively under pressure, adjust to frequently changing work assignments, and remain flexible and positive in the face of changing needs. 60% Data Collection and Analysis

- Manages data collection from lab research studies, including survey data, field observations, archival research, and other field data. Responsible for the setup, operation and maintenance of all equipment used in research. Orders and maintains inventory of research supplies for all research requirements. Schedules and supports professional and research interviews by the PIs. Background research and assistance with climate and energy policy report writing and development. Using specific knowledge needed regarding research, develops and manages web-based questionnaires for use by human subjects. Collects data and provides results to PI as needed for data analysis. Provides database management for all data collection for multiple studies including large amounts of data. 40% Lab Management

- Shares data and results from ENVENT Lab with outside partners, including advocacy groups and think-tanks. Assists PI in the preparation of grant proposals including quarterly and annual grant reports, and helping to manage budgets. Provides general assistance to the PIs including, but not limited to: scheduling, assistance with email and mail correspondence, organizing files, obtaining requested journal articles and library books, processing reimbursements. Maintains lab web site and updates on a regular basis as needed. UC Vaccination Programs Policy
