We seek a Logistics Technician to support the Bristol site’s packaging and distribution operations, working in a union environment and contributing to Dow Coatings Business objectives.
About you
Site Services Department employees are part of a shift-based, plant-wide team supporting manufacturing operations through packaging and distribution of products. Successful performance requires collaborative, adaptable individuals who communicate effectively with mechanics, activity coordinators and reactor operators.
Responsibilities
Operate drum and tote packaging lines
Receive packaged raw materials and packages
Stage packaged raw materials and supplies
Prepare packaged goods shipments (stretch wrapping, staging, labeling, etc.)
Load/shipping packaged trailers
Basic SAP transactions (label printing, shipping, receiving)
Inventory cycle counting
Hose connections and valve operations
Clean equipment
Routine non-craft maintenance and general housekeeping
Meet regulatory requirements
Work assignments; employee orientation & training; maintain daily records and reports
Training and issuing permits; other tasks as assigned
Required qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Current, valid US driver’s license
Ability to work overtime and holidays as needed; schedule flexibility essential
Ability to work rotating shifts
Eligible to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship available
Preferred Qualifications
1 year of forklift experience preferred
Experience in manufacturing, chemical or similar environments preferred

Frequent bending, reaching, lifting; working in tight or closed spaces
Stand/walk for extended periods; climb stairs/ladders; work at elevations
PPE may include harnesses up to 300 lbs when working at height
