Sr Civil (Design) Engineer (Data Centers)
Jacobs is hiring a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Advanced Manufacturing group.
You will work on state‑of‑the‑art industrial and commercial facilities, managing schedule and technical quality across a range of engineering tasks.
The role is located anywhere in the United States, ideally near a Jacobs U.S. office, but we will hire the best candidates regardless of location.
Base pay range $132,900.00/yr - $174,450.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
Develop site master plans and site selection strategies.
Route underground utilities and design site spacing.
Perform hydrology and storm drain system design.
Design gravitational wastewater systems and produce final grading plans (cut, fill, earthwork balance).
Prepare erosion and sediment control plans, stormwater pollution prevention plans, and support permit approval.
Research and apply local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements for design and construction.
Model stormwater systems using software such as StormCAD or CivilStorm.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
8+ years of engineering experience, including extensive industrial development design.
Proficiency in analyzing and designing medium to large scale industrial developments.
Strong experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D design modules.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively in multi‑disciplinary teams.
Quick learner with a drive to broaden knowledge.
PE certification, Bluebeam experience, and Navisworks familiarity are desirable.
