Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support a Database Update project. The ideal candidate will excel in project management and possess business analysis capabilities.
Responsibilities
Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timeline, resources, and budget.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project tasks are completed on schedule.
Monitor and track project progress, identifying and addressing risks and issues.
Facilitate meetings with stakeholders to review project updates and gather feedback.
Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and align with organizational goals.
Manage project documentation, including status reports, schedules, and risk logs.
Foster clear communication among project team members, stakeholders, and leadership.
Support change management processes to ensure smooth project transitions and adoption.
Oversee project closure activities, including final reporting, lessons learned, and knowledge transfer.
Required skills and experience
10+ years managing complex IT projects, leading teams, and supporting stakeholders.
Proficiency in project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or Waterfall.
Experience as a business analyst/project manager, creating requirements and technical specifications.
Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, and prioritization skills.
Excellent communication skills tailored to technical and non‑technical audiences.
Proficiency in business analysis methodologies and tools (data analysis, requirements gathering, process modeling).
Ability to create technical specifications and system designs for custom application development.
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Preferred skills
Familiarity with DevOps, Confluence, SharePoint, and other collaboration tools.
Experience in government or public‑sector IT environments.
Candidate authorized to work in the US, including H1B, TN, and other valid visas (but not OPT or CPT).
Direct W2 employees only.
Location & Employment Madison, WI (Hybrid – 60% remote, 40% in office; onsite orientation required). 1‑year contract. Must be a current Wisconsin resident; no relocation allowed.
Additional Information This position is closed to those residing outside the United States and requires compliance with US work authorization.
