This position emphasizes agile methodologies, remote work dynamics, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure programs meet scope, schedule, and performance targets. What You Will Do
Develop and implement comprehensive project strategies tailored to the objectives and mission of the Civil Space Organization, ensuring alignment with broader business goals Oversee program budgets ranging from $1M to $10M and maintain accountability for high-visibility projects within the civil space portfolio Lead cross-functional teams of 15-30+ professionals, coordinating efforts across multiple complex projects Establish and maintain project governance structures, processes, and success metrics to ensure effective oversight and delivery Drive strategic alignment by bridging executive leadership's vision and the tactical execution of civil space programs Proactively identify and mitigate project-level risks while managing interdependencies across related projects Facilitate clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, including executive leadership, via detailed reporting on progress, challenges, and milestones Lead organizational change management to adopt new processes, technologies, and strategies across Civil Space Organization business units Optimize resource allocation and capacity planning to manage project portfolios and meet evolving demands Ensure all projects comply with quality assurance gates to maintain high levels of delivery excellence Travel approximately 10% Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree with minimum 10 years of experience Proven experience leading cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals Strong background in project management, including planning, execution and task coordination What We Offer
