About the Role As a CBRE Laboratory Instrument Services Sr. Technician, you will calibrate, maintain, and perform major repairs of scientific instrumentation, providing technical maintenance services in critical client environments.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance, repair, and calibration on laboratory equipment including HPLC/UPLC systems, LCMS systems, gas chromatographs, incubators, centrifuges, and microscopes.

Operate test equipment such as multimeters, temperature standards, optical standards, and liquid flow meters.

Coordinate the removal of equipment requiring extensive repairs during scheduled maintenance periods.

Troubleshoot, service, or resolve problems during unscheduled work.

Record and report abnormal functions or out‑of‑tolerance conditions, initiating corrective action and documentation.

Review and document daily inspection, maintenance, repair logs.

Coordinate with external contractors on repairs covered by maintenance agreements and communicate with customer staff.

Locate parts, estimate costs, and prepare requisitions.

Track instrument and part reliability to recommend alternate service, suppliers, and parts.

Develop equipment, maintenance, and calibration procedures.

Show some knowledge of standard scientific principles and apply them.

Lead by example and model CBRE RISE values.

Maintain quality of own work, work within standardized procedures, and meet deadlines.

Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding.

Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2–3 years of related experience, or equivalent experience and education.

Knowledge, training, and experience with analytical instrumentation including HPLC/UPLC, gas chromatographs, LCMS systems.

Physical ability to stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, carry or lift 50 lbs.

Ability to use procedures to solve standard problems and make judgments based on information.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive approach.

Intermediate math skills (percentages, fractions, financial calculations).

Appropriate license or certification where required by law.

Compensation & Benefits Maximum salary $86,750 annually. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, 401(k), and more beginning on the 1st of the month. Internal advancement opportunities after 6 months.
