Job Summary The incumbent will act as MnDOT’s primary contact for discrimination‑related matters, ensuring legal and policy compliance, conducting complex investigations, providing legal counsel, and managing the statewide internal complaint process.
Responsibilities
Conduct complex investigations of workplace discrimination, reprisal, and harassment complaints.
Prepare investigative reports, recommend findings, and advise management on follow‑up actions.
Serve as a liaison with the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office, Minnesota Management and Budget, and external law firms.
Write and review workforce policies to align with Title VII, ADA, and other applicable laws.
Hire and supervise contractors for expert investigations.
Maintain records and ensure timely responses to internal and external complaints.
Minimum Qualifications
Three years of advanced professional experience applying state and federal non‑discrimination law.
Demonstrated ability in performing complex legal analysis.
Hands‑on experience conducting all aspects of complaint investigations and drafting investigative reports.
Experience responding to discrimination complaints.
A Juris Doctor degree from an ABA‑accredited law school substitutes for one year of advanced experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Juris Doctor degree.
Active Minnesota law license.
Experience in the public sector.
