Position Overview Under the general supervision of an Accounting Administrator II, the Accounting Administrator I (Supervisor) is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating complex fiscal, accounting, and budgetary management activities for various departmental funds. The role supervises professional staff responsible for budgetary control and financial accounting for departmental funds and Budget Act appropriations.

Eligibility Eligibility may be determined by your score on the Accounting Administrator I (Supervisor) exam. Candidates new to state civil services employment must be on the state examination list to be eligible for this position.

Working Conditions Location: 1820 Alhambra Blvd, Sacramento, CA. Within walking distance of light rail and public transportation. Telework may be available subject to departmental policy. Employees may be required to commute to the headquarters and to travel for business as needed.

Minimum Requirements

Current Classification: Accounting Administrator I (Supervisor)

Minimum Educational and Experience requirements are detailed in the Class Specification.

Ability to take initiative and work creatively with people to resolve work issues and meet tight deadlines.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of automated accounting systems and reporting tools.
