Job Summary
Department of Transportation – Senior Equipment Materiel Specialist (Job Control Number: JC-496666). Salary ranges from $5,067.00 to $6,056.00 per month. Final filing date: November 5, 2025. The incumbent will serve as a working lead person, directing the parts department staff in the equipment materiel operations division. Responsibilities
Oversee and direct staff engaged in purchasing, inventory, disbursement, shipping, and receiving of equipment parts, materiel, related equipment and services for fabrication, maintenance, repair, and disposal of mobile equipment. Use a Windows‑based computer for input and retrieval of information. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures. Provide supervision and guidance to staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards. Assist in preparing reports, documentation, and supporting materials for senior management. Qualifications
Valid California Class C driver’s license (CDL) with up to two endorsements. Current or eligible for State Examination/Employment (Senior Equipment Materiel Specialist exam). Drug screening completion before hire. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows operating systems. Demonstrated ability to supervise personnel and manage complex inventory processes. Benefits
