Instructors are needed to teach classes depending upon need and available funding. Applications are accepted on a continual basis and will be maintained in pool for two years. After two years, candidates will be notified to re-submit materials for continued consideration. Appointments are on a part-time basis and vary in duration, a couple weeks, a semester or an academic year, depending on the specific needs of the department/program. Salary is dependent on number of courses taught and duration. The Department of Land Resources and Environmental Sciences ( LRES ) is in the College of Agriculture and is a featured department in the statewide Montana Institute on Ecosystems. Our work spans land resources and environmental science and management, and includes teaching, research, and outreach. LRES consists of 35 faculty, about 200 undergraduate students, 25 thesis M.S., 60 online MS, 25 Ph.D. students, and 40 technical and postdoctoral scientists. The College As the foundational component of Montana’s land grant university, the College of Agriculture ( COA ) and MAES provide instruction and conduct research relevant to Montana’s agricultural and natural resource communities. The COA offers multiple degree programs and MAES conducts research through several centers in Montana.
