Multifamily General Manager for Canterbury Green Apartments
Canterbury Green has over 2,000 apartment homes with a staff of up to 50 team members. The community features a golf course, restaurant, multiple amenities, and clubhouses.
The ideal candidate has a resume incorporating the management of large multifamily assets and teams, with senior leadership experience preferred, and impactful teambuilding achievements.

Relocation Required Canterbury Green Apartments is located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Candidates must reside locally or be willing to relocate for this position.
Responsibilities
Collect rents and maintain computer records according to GoldOller’s Onsite Procedures Handbook.
Process requests for rent adjustments, obtain verifications, and record in computer systems.
Prepare and monitor site budget; ensure expenses stay within guidelines.
Post charges associated with work orders, late charges, etc., and generate notices for residents.
Show vacant apartments using professional marketing procedures and maintain high occupancy.
Maintain tenant files and related documentation.
Build strong tenant relations: screen applicants, counsel residents on delinquent payments, refer to assistance programs, resolve conflicts, recommend eviction, conduct surveys, participate in hearings and appeals, pursue collections.
Complete Rental Agreements, make daily bank deposits, process move‑in/move‑out reports.
Send notices regarding compliance, issue purchase orders, process invoices, purchase supplies.
Maintain petty cash fund, write and place advertisements, submit incident reports, maintain a neat office, and handle special projects.
Oversee property maintenance: grounds, trash containers, work orders, inspections, security assistance, emergency response, tool maintenance.
Supervise staff: interview, hire, train, counsel, terminate, review performance, discuss disciplinary action with Regional Manager.
Assist with regional portfolio management: administration, maintenance, personnel, training, orientations, inspections, budget oversight, communication with Regional Manager and Corporate office.
Skill Requirements
Knowledge of personnel management and supervision.
Knowledge of property management laws, OSHA, local and state building codes.
Knowledge of agencies that provide assistance and services to residents.
Basic knowledge of building maintenance, fire prevention, and liability reduction.
Knowledge of basic office practices, procedures and equipment.
Understanding of accounting: budgeting, finance, record‑keeping.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, analyze situations, identify problems, and solve them.
Detail oriented, effective time management, strong communication skills.
Qualifications
High school education or equivalent.
3 years of experience in property management or related fields.
Knowledge of RealPage OneSite Property Management Software.
Must obtain certification as a Property Manager, or equivalent, within twelve months.
Valid driver’s license.
