Salary Information Base pay range:
$8,504.00 - $11,395.00
(based on experience and skills). Additional commission and benefits may be available.
Job Description & Duties Why Join DHCS? The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) is the backbone of California’s health care safety net. The successful candidate will join a diverse team to provide care for low‑income families, children, pregnant women, older adults, and persons with disabilities.
Role Overview The California Medicaid Management Information System (CA‑MMIS) Operations Division, Systems Oversight Section 2 (SOS 2) is responsible for the overall administration, oversight, and monitoring of the Medi‑Cal Fiscal Intermediary (FI) contract that maintains CA‑MMIS for the Medi‑Cal program. The incumbent will work under the IT Manager I (ITM I) and directly oversee the Public Health Unit.
Key Responsibilities - Plan, organize, and direct the work of multiple program areas. - Provide functional oversight of claims processing operations, reporting, system changes, and policies governing claims adjudication. - Develop and monitor service levels, performance standards, and vendor/product solution evaluations. - Facilitate contract development, project management compliance, and scope of work for initiatives. - Supervise all staff within the functional responsibility area and may supervise staff in other areas of the organization.
Working Conditions Work is performed in an office setting with artificial light and temperature control. The incumbent will use a personal computer, phone, and may remain in a stationary position throughout the day. The position is a full‑time, 40‑hour work week with required in‑office days and potential telework up to three days per week.
