Bookkeeping and Business Management Non-Tenure Track Faculty - Gallatin College
Gallatin College seeks non-tenure track faculty for the Bookkeeping and Business Management program. The position requires no tenure and is a contracted role for the Fall & Spring semesters.
Overview Gallatin College is a two‑year college supporting workforce development. The program emphasizes accounting, payroll, HR, and small business skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
Teach courses in Accounting, Payroll, Human Resources, Excel, Marketing, Advertising, QuickBooks, Entrepreneurship, Sales, Business Law, and Business Office Procedures.
Design curriculum, prepare assignments, assess student performance, and maintain accurate records.
Engage students from diverse backgrounds, supporting dual‑career couples and inclusive learning.
Participate in program development and contribute to the mission of the college.
Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
Academic degree in Accounting, Business Management, General Business, Law, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience working with and engaging diverse students and colleagues within and outside the department.
Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
Three or more years of industry experience.
Prior teaching or industry training experience.
Understanding of the Two‑Year College Mission and specifically workforce program mission.
Demonstrated commitment to student, faculty, and staff diversity.
The Successful Candidate Will
Work professionally and effectively with diverse individuals.
Possess effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Contribute positively to the academic success of students and the mission of Gallatin College.
Prepare students for careers after graduation, extending learning beyond textbooks.
Position Special Requirements / Additional Information The position may be a union position. Faculty positions with more than 0.5 FTE may be eligible for benefits under Montana state faculty policies.
