After School Program Director – Healthy Kids Programs

Healthy Kids Programs is on the lookout for a dynamic Director to lead our After School Program for the 2025-2026 school year. As the Director, you'll be the driving force behind every aspect of the operation of the Healthy Kids Program Site. Job Status:

2:15 pm - 6:00 pm Job Consists Of

Guiding compliance: Ensure staff and program adhere to OCFS guidelines, Healthy Kids policies, and host school rules. Deliver engaging hands‑on activities based on the Healthy Kids Curriculum covering fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and more, and oversee homework completion. Manage essential tasks including accurate attendance and registration records, and ensure proper staffing levels to keep the program running smoothly. Maintain open communication with parents and family members through the Playground App. Collaborate effectively with your direct report to stay aligned on daily operations and address issues promptly, fostering a positive team environment. Education and Experience

To be qualified as a director, a person must possess one of the following: An Associate degree

in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or a related field; two years of direct experience with children under 13 years old, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity. A New York State Children’s Program Administrator Credential;

two years of direct experience with children under 13 years old, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity. A School‑Age Child Care Credential

or another recognized credential for the school‑age period; two years of direct experience with children under 13 years old, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity. Two years of college

with 18 credits in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation or a related field; two years of direct experience with children under 13 years old, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity. Qualifications

Medically fit to perform all job duties, free of communicable diseases including TB. Warm, friendly, upbeat, and an exceptional people skills with children, parents, and team members; professional, reliable, and prompt. Physically capable of bending, stretching, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs., and able to keep up with energetic children. Part‑time Benefits
