Job Summary
The Accounting Clerk supports the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions by performing daily accounting and administrative tasks to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.
Accounts Payable
Enter all incoming bills into QuickBooks accurately and promptly.
Follow established monetary limit guidelines and route bills for appropriate approvals.
Print and mail checks as needed.
Monitor and process all recurring payments to ensure timely disbursement.
Retrieve and review monthly vendor statements.
Communicate with vendors via phone or email regarding invoices, payments, and account inquiries.
Research and resolve discrepancies or billing issues in a timely manner.
Accounts Receivable
Assist the Accounts Receivable team with collections and payment follow-up.
Provide support with tasks such as scanning, emailing, and organizing invoices.
Provide phone and administrative support as needed.
Perform basic office tasks such as filing, scanning, and document organization.
Required Skills/Abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related accounting software.
Experience with QuickBooks preferred.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED required.
Previous accounting or industry‑related experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
Ability to remain in a stationary position while working at a computer for extended periods.
Ability to lift or transport up to 15 pounds occasionally.
