Radiology Technologist (Mammography Technologist)

Position Overview Under the direction of the radiologist, the Radiology Technologist (Mammography Technologist) performs a variety of digital mammography procedures, including screening and diagnostic exams, wire localizations, galactography, biopsy procedures, DEXA exams, and quality control. The technologist ensures high‑quality care is provided to the patient while meeting the needs of the organization, regulatory agencies, physicians, and staff. A working knowledge and experience in digital mammography, sterile technique, and documentation are essential. This position requires the ability to work independently, provide excellent patient care and communication, and demonstrate a commitment to our core values.
Job Requirements
Minimum 5 years prior experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
Current CA Radiology Technologist license.
Current Mammographic Permit.
Current BLS certification.
Digital training documentation.
Graduate of an AMA‑accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Documentation of Digital Mammography Tomography training (8 hours) and Mammography experience (200 exams in last 24 months) and Mammography continuing education (15 hrs in last 36 months).
Able to operate radiologic equipment.
Good communication and patient care skills.
Preferred Qualifications
ARRT certificate.
IV certification.
Associate's degree.
Location St. Josephs Medical Center’s Outpatient Women Imaging Center, a member of Dignity Health. The facility, located in Stockton, CA, is a fully accredited regional hospital with 395 beds, over 400 physicians, and more than 2,400 employees. It specializes in cardiovascular, cancer, women’s, and children’s services including neonatal intensive care.
Pay Range $56.20 – $65.16 per hour.
