Who We’re Looking For We want a manager with deep experience in distributed systems, building cost‑efficient and scalable services from scratch. You have led a team that owns at least one major service or a set of micro‑services, managing design, delivery, and operations end‑to‑end. You are an expert in people management, responsible for roadmap planning, talent review, performance management, and team development.

Responsibilities

Lead an Oracle Cloud Marketplace engineering team, applying software architecture to deliver high‑availability, distributed services.

Own the end‑to‑end development and operational excellence of OCI services.

Provide strategic leadership and guidance to a dedicated engineering team.

Drive delivery of the service roadmap, ensuring projects meet quality and timeline expectations.

Manage customer issues, escalations, and code deployments within change‑management procedures.

Maintain and evolve technical depth in software development practices and architectural design.

Champion Agile methodologies and foster a high‑performance culture.

Minimum Qualifications

BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

5+ years of people‑management experience in software development.

7+ years delivering and operating large‑scale, highly available distributed systems.

3+ years of leadership in large‑scale organizations with multiple management layers.

Strong knowledge of Java, Go, C++, C, and scripting languages such as Python.

Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.

Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, storage protocols, network architectures, and persistence technologies.

Excellent troubleshooting, performance tuning, and scalability skills.

Experience building cloud‑native distributed systems at scale.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience delivering services on a public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI).

Background in building multi‑tenant, virtualized infrastructure and cloud marketplace domains.
