Your Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients spanning pediatric through geriatric demographics, utilizing both standardized assessments and observational skills. Create customized treatment strategies targeting both immediate and extended communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs. Deliver focused speech therapy sessions, addressing communication modalities such as language, fluency, sound, and swallowing. Work in tandem with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to devise comprehensive care plans. Educate patients and their families to ensure consistent progress outside of therapy hours. Occasionally assist with inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless transition throughout the patient journey. Maintain meticulous records that adhere to all necessary regulatory standards. Stay informed about the latest advancements in speech language pathology through continuous education and collaboration with peers. Qualifications
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if not already ASHA-certified. Certification Requirements
State licensure as a
Speech Language Pathologist . Preference for Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) training must be completed within 30 days of starting position. Essential Skills
