Job Summary

The Human Resources Generalist plays a critical role in supporting the daily operations of the HR function within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position partners closely with the Director of Human Resources, operations leadership and employees to provide expertise in recruitment, employee relations, compliance, performance management, and HR administration. The HR Generalist ensures HR programs and processes align with Pacific Spice Company's culture, values, and regulatory obligations.

Major Responsibilities Employee Relations & Engagement

Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and workplace issues. Support HR Director in investigations, corrective actions, and coaching in collaboration with the HR Director and operations management. Foster a positive, inclusive, and safety-focused workplace culture consistent with PSC's values. Coordinate and support employee engagement initiatives and recognition programs. Recruitment & Onboarding

Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop job postings. Manage the full recruitment cycle - from sourcing and interviewing to offer and onboarding. Conduct new hire orientations and ensure seamless integration of new employees into the organization. Maintain compliance with all federal and state employment laws during hiring processes. Performance Management

Support supervisors and managers with performance review processes and documentation. Provide guidance on progressive discipline, performance improvement plans, and employee development opportunities. Assist in maintaining consistency and fairness across all HR policies and procedures. HR Administration & Compliance

Maintain accurate and confidential employee records (HRIS, personnel files, benefits data). Ensure compliance with state and federal labor laws, including wage/hour, OSHA, and Cal/OSHA regulations. Support audits, reporting, and compliance activities (EEO-1, I-9, etc.). Partner with payroll and benefits teams to ensure timely and accurate employee transactions. Training & Development

Assist in scheduling and tracking required training, including safety, compliance, and leadership development programs. Support HR initiatives that promote growth, retention, and leadership capability within the organization. Conforms to Food Safety Culture Preferred Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. 3-5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally within a manufacturing or production environment. Strong understanding of labor laws and employment regulations relevant to the manufacturing industry. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization. PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred Proven ability to build trust and credibility with employees and leaders at all levels. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time managment abilities Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS Systems (e.g., ADP, Paycom, or similar). Bilingual in English/Spanish highly desibrable. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
