This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and enjoys wearing multiple hats. The successful candidate will oversee procurement, inventory, and shipping operations, making strategic, cost-conscious decisions in a complex industry landscape
Purchasing Materials Manager Location:
Lakewood, NJ Salary Range:
$80,000 - $90,000 annually Employment Type:
Full-time
Key Responsibilities
Oversee purchasing activities and ensure timely procurement of goods and services.
Manage inventory as the organization's largest asset, including planning inflows and outflows, monitoring current levels, and ensuring accurate forecasting.
Handle tariff management (including excessive tariffs and cost analysis) and cash planning.
Utilize ERP systems extensively for procurement, inventory control, and scanner troubleshooting.
Coordinate with the shipping department to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
Address customer release issues and maintain smooth operations across multiple product lines.
Work with 5,000+ part numbers and derivatives, including modified products for aerospace and food industries.
Collaborate with internal teams to align purchasing with production processes and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
Proven experience in inventory managementand cost-conscious decision-making.
Strong understanding of ERP systems and their application in procurement and logistics.
Ability to manage complex supply chains and adapt to evolving processes.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Familiarity with tariffs, cash flow planning, and shipping functions.
