is working with a company within the Industrial industry who is seeking to hire a Purchasing Clerk. This position focuses on optimizing inventory flow and minimizing shipping expenses across designated supplier categories, all while ensuring consistent product availability. The individual in this role will handle procurement for a diverse range of operational and industrial supplies, maintain vendor relationships, and oversee logistical processes from order placement to delivery resolution.

Responsibilities:

Generate and oversee procurement documentation for assigned product lines. Analyze daily inventory reports to determine restocking needs based on supplier agreements, consumption trends, and projected demand. Ensure fulfillment of outstanding orders for priority items. Notify leadership when supplier requirements or shipping cost thresholds are not achievable. Respond promptly to urgent supply requests and critical inventory needs. Track open orders and proactively address delays or shortages. Work closely with warehouse teams and suppliers to resolve delivery inconsistencies. Monitor product performance and collaborate with sales to address underperforming stock. Review surplus and flagged inventory reports to identify items for potential return. Coordinate return processes, including authorization and follow-up on credits. Support evaluations of supplier performance and assist in onboarding new products. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related discipline; or equivalent experience in procurement. 1-2 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain operations. Familiarity with ERP systems such as Epicor- REQUIRED Location:
