Position Title:
Business Analyst – Project Lead
Work Type:
Hybrid – 4 days onsite per week

Candidate must be a South Carolina resident or willing to relocate to SC prior to starting, at their own expense.
Position Summary
The
Technical Business Analyst (Project Lead)
bridges business operations and IT solutions, ensuring alignment of HR and payroll processes with SAP functionalities and compliance standards. The analyst will support HRIS system analysis, documentation, reporting, testing, and cross-departmental collaboration to streamline and optimize operations.
Daily Duties / Responsibilities
Analyze HR and Financial systems (especially SAP ECC/SCEIS) to identify inefficiencies and improvement areas.
Develop business and system documentation (user guides, SOPs, training materials, process flows).
Perform testing (unit, integration, and UAT) for system enhancements and upgrades.
Support HR and IT in system configuration, process optimization, and data validation.
Generate compliance and audit reports; develop dashboards using Power BI and Excel.
Conduct training sessions for HR staff and end-users.
Create and manage project documentation, schedules, and reports.
Facilitate stakeholder meetings and ensure effective communication across HR, IT, and Finance.
Ensure compliance with
HIPAA, FLSA, and state data privacy standards .
Follow DPH IT security and documentation standards (NIST 800-53, FISMA, SC InfoSec Requirements).
Required Skills
3+ years of experience with HRIS systems.
5+ years of experience with state HR/payroll processes and data privacy standards (HIPAA, FLSA, etc.).
5+ years of experience creating user guides, SOPs, and technical documentation.
5+ years of experience with reporting, dashboards, and data visualization.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, Power BI, and SharePoint.
Strong analytical and process documentation skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with
SAP SuccessFactors .
Knowledge of information security practices (PII, PHI).
Prior experience working with
State or Federal Government .
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with IT development and implementation projects.
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
