About the Role The Buyer will have responsibility for the management of specific products within the Tannas Company/King Refrigeration supply chain through the identification and management of suppliers, placing of purchase orders and management of performance. This role will be responsible for resolving any procurement, quality, invoice and inventory‑related issues which arise related to assigned parts. Being able to interface with external suppliers and internal departments is critical to ensure a high level of support to satisfy the customer.

Key Responsibilities
Understand market to identify potential suppliers to meet organization’s needs by evaluating price competitiveness, quality, delivery capabilities and reputation.
Manage supplier performance and capabilities through in person supplier visits, and the use of metrics for quality, delivery and price.
Issue purchase orders for assigned products and services, negotiate pricing and ensure supplier compliance, especially delivery dates and quantity/quality; resolve invoice discrepancies.
Ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained to minimize costs while ensuring a high level of service; proactively avoid material shortages.
Facilitate the proactive and timely flow of information between the supply base and key internal customers.
Ability to read and interpret drawings. Be able to discuss technical requirements with suppliers such as dimensions, tolerances, finishes and other aspects of manufacturing.
Identify and drive cost reduction and cost avoidance opportunities. Participate in cost reduction projects.
Work closely with Supplier Quality to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services to determine the source of trouble and take corrective action to minimize impact on production.
Protect Savant Group’s value by keeping information confidential.
Actively challenge existing processes to drive simplification and improvement.
Performing cross‑functional ad hoc analysis and lead special projects as required.
Other responsibilities supporting purchasing may be required.
Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or other related discipline required.
Three to five years’ experience in purchasing/procurement in a manufacturing environment is desired. Experience working with an ERP system, Global Shop is a plus. Experience in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams and Outlook).

Travel Requirements Position may require up to 10% travel. Travel is based on company needs; domestic and international travel.
