A growing manufacturing company in the Howard County area seeks a qualified Accounts Payable Specialist

Key Responsibilities

Review, verify, and process vendor invoices and employee expense reports. Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents, ensuring accuracy and proper approval. Prepare and execute weekly check runs, ACH, and wire payments. Maintain vendor files, ensuring all W-9 forms and related documentation are current. Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Respond to vendor inquiries and communicate effectively regarding payment status. Assist with month-end closing by preparing accruals and reports as needed. Support audits by providing documentation and explanations of AP transactions. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Qualifications

Education:

Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor's preferred). Experience:

2-4 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience. Skills:

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks). Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups). Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
